Meet the Komala Therapeutic Massage Staff

Hello, my name is Sarah Komala, LMT, owner of Komala Therapeutic Massage. I have been in the wellness industry since the year 2000 and love every moment that I am able to help someone or to teach people about how their body works. I love being a massage therapist and have created special techniques over the years that have proven to work time and time again. After graduating from the Baltimore School of Massage in Maryland with a 4.0 GPA, my husband and I moved to New Mexico. After job-hunting as a Therapist, I realized that Rio Rancho was in need of a great massage clinic that puts the clients first. While I specialize in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, I am trained in many modalities. I have had the pleasure of working on many people including Olympic Gymnasts, Cyclists, Triathlon Racers and many more.  I opened Komala Therapeutic Massage to share the gift of healing, pain relief, and muscle health that is missing in so many massage settings and am available to help you today.

Hello, my name is Kathy Romero. I have been a Massage Therapist for five years. I am a graduate of The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. I have been working for Komala Therapeutic Massage for about a year, and it has made all the difference in the world as far as taking my practice to a higher level. I have enjoyed working independently and in a Spa environment, but Komala is the best of both worlds. I enjoy working on anyBODY. I have experience in working on those who are over stressed, unbalanced,in need of injury recovery, and who just need a overall massage. My modalities of preference are Blended, Essential Oils Therapeutic, and Hot Stone. I incorporate a variety of techniques in my treatments, based on the needs of the client which is ALWAYS first. I have worked with minors, athletes, business men and women, seniors and all types. All have been a blessing. So if you are in need of relaxation, a little more firm pressure like a Blended Massage, some work on a specific area of tension, or just interested in what massage is all about, COME IN, schedule an appointment, and let go of everything for an hour. Let the the atmosphere, the music, the oils, the massage, take you to your favorite place.

Hello, my name is Cymone Ulibarri and I am a licensed massage therapist have been for almost 3 years. I decided to be a massage therapist because I love working with people and helping them reach their optimal health goals. I went to school at Apollo College and graduated with a 3.5 grade point average. I was on the dean’s list and the presidents list all throughout school. After my schooling I had about a month and a half of clinical time I put in at my schools clinic.    I passed my nationally certified massage therapy and bodywork test, and proceeded to work at a massage clinic. I am currently a manual therapist at Komala Therapeutic Massage and love it here.  My specialties are sports massage, Deep tissue massage, and specific work. My specific areas that I work really well would be the lower back, shoulders, and neck. I would say my favorite type of massage is a sports massage.  Being an athlete myself I know the toll that exercise takes on your body. Being an athlete helps me connect with my clients better and know what their needs are by the symptoms and problems they are having. I also did volunteer time with the West Mesa Boys Basketball team for a year, helping them stay in good health for the basketball season. So if you have any specific injuries or just want to start caring for yourself better, come on in and let me help you.

Hello, my name is Liz Blasingame, LMT, CCP and I specialize in Cranioscral, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Cupping and Colorpuncture. My work is gentle deep tissue that works from the inside out, instead of outside in. I use a gentle but firm pressure to tune into your patterns of pain, injury or discomfort and then helps you to release them by tapping into your core energy.  These releases help to balance and align your body physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. What you can expect from a session is, feeling calmer; more relaxed, less pain, better movement. Conditions that have responded successfully to care are: neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, structural issues, headaches or migraines, plantar fasciitis, clearing congestion in the pelvic floor that helps with menstrual pain or assists with pregnancy.

I have been a therapist for over 22 years and studied many different techniques. Each session will be customized to your needs. My basic training was completed in 1989 At the Sarasota School of Massage and upgraded in 2010 at the Sedona School of Natural Healing Arts. I look forward to helping you soon.
